where she will slumber

Astrid’s nursery.

This nursery is so special to me. Not only is it my daughter’s room, but I put a lot of heart and love into decorating it so that it was perfect for her. I made some of the pieces, some came from my parents house, some from re-sale shops, some were her brothers and some brand new. All together they make the perfect room for my perfect girl.

My mom and I stenciled this wall back when it was just our spare bedroom. I knew in my heart that I wanted it to be a nursery when we were given that chance again so this beautiful stencil was perfect!

This was my first crib sheet I ever made and I fell in love with the fabric at the store. It’s so easy to personalize a nursery with a great crib sheet!

IMG_0157I made this mobile with ribbon and an embroidery hoop and its my favorite thing in the whole room. The colors really came together and I added some hints of gold to give it some sparkle.

I’m so glad we decided to keep everything these past 5 years through all our moves. I had my mom paint it light gray, and I found these adorable white knobs with gold polka dots. It’s the perfect place for all her little clothes and practical for when she gets older too.

I’m so proud of how her room turned out and I hope one day she will look back on these pictures and love it too. If you have any questions about anything you see here, or are interested in having me make something for your little ones room just let me know!
